Our Commitment to DE&I
Several years ago, the Valent group of companies (VGC) formed the Valent Council on Diversity and Inclusion. Its goal is to enable and promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion in every aspect of our business, ensuring that every voice is heard.
In 2020, Valent BioSciences implemented the VGC Action Plan for change, a five-pillar strategic blueprint designed to promote and integrate DE&I programs and excellence into every aspect of our business.
Our Roadmap to Progress
Established 8 employee resource groups
Employee resource groups (ERGs) were formed for key identity groups, and we continue to expand the number of ERGs based on the interest of our employees.
Forged a relationship with MANRRS
MANRRS (Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences) helps us build, foster, and maintain a diverse talent pipeline.
Launched a leadership training program
We’re supporting our leaders by ensuring they have the necessary tools and skills to model inclusive leadership characteristics.
Hosted DE&I guest speakers
Experts regularly conduct interactive forums about key DE&I issues.

Our many Employee Resource Groups help foster a more diverse, inclusive workplace that supports our employees personally and professionally, creating a safe space where they can maximize their talents to achieve success and feel more comfortable at work.
